There are approximately eighty-one thousand residents in Compton; forty public schools and sixteen private schools exist. When area students need help focusing on academic goals, Bee Academic Tutoring is available to assist. We are a family-owned company providing academic support to students’ in grades kindergarten through twelfth. We also support adults in college.
Bee Academic Tutoring conveniently makes itself available through in-home visits and/or online tutoring. We have competent teaching professionals to tutor in math, science, English, Spanish, and several other academic subjects. Tutoring for standardized tests such as the SAT is also available.
We understand that a tutor can also provide emotional support for students. We use local resources and maintain relationships with local organizations to ensure each of our students is given the attention they deserve, especially when dealing with their safety and academic growth. National research indicates that students who receive tutoring services because of low grades, loss of interest in school, low self-esteem, and/or an increase in feelings of helplessness show improvement in their personal issues after they begin working with a competent tutor.
The team at Bee Academic Tutoring understands its community and its students. Compton is generally a working-class city. Once an agricultural town, it is now surrounded by sky-rise buildings, bustling airports, twisting highways, and diverse businesses. These help to provide unique curriculum support for students. Students have multiple libraries, colleges and museums that can easily complement some learning styles. Large post offices located throughout the area gives students an opportunity to order supplemental materials from other states or countries.
Some natives or former residents of Compton and surrounding areas have set positive examples for aspiring students. These include former U.S. president George W. Bush, number one ranked female tennis player Serena Williams, several well-known rappers and singers, actor Kevin Costner, and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic. We work hard to achieve each student’s educational goals so they can reach their dreams.
We maintain an up-to-date Facebook page and we have a toll-free phone number so that we can be available to communicate well with students and caregivers at all times. We are continually providing new information and resources to compliment our tutoring program.
